Welcoming Baby Number Two: In home Lifestyle Newborn Session

This sweet Newborn session perfectly captures the transition of this family going from a family of three to a family of four.

Having my brother and sister-in-law ask me to photograph the arrival of their son is truly such an honor! I photographed my nieces newborn session (and many family moments in between!) and I seriously love these photos maybe as much as they do!

I now have a studio in Baton Rouge, which is where we did this family’s Maternity session (you can view that on the blog here) – but even with over 10 years of documenting families and a new studio space, I cannot recommend a newborn in home lifestyle session enough. They just hold and create so many special memories of welcoming your little one home, and also gives mom dad and the littles such an ease into the photo day.

I just love how proud little sister was showing off her baby and how absolutely stunning mom looks. Photographing at home allows for moments to just unfold naturally. We focus more on connection and less on posing during these sessions. Which I think is so sweet.

Before long all these moments become a blur – and it’s just so precious to encapsulate these moments. When gathering the photos I just noticed the three images of mom and her daughter and dad with is son combined together. So I will let the images below do all the talking (I mean HOW sweet? MELTS)

I am so proud of the little family my brother has the honor of protecting! I am truly obsessed with my nephew and my niece!

Being able to capture these moments for my family really makes me feel so incredibly thankful for what I have the honor of doing. It gives me a moment to appreciate these photos on a whole different level and I cannot wait for my iPhone to be filled with hundreds of images of my nephew just like my niece.
